On Thursday, the Ford India’s MD and President Michael Boneham stated that US Ford car maker, recently decided for launching new cars for every12 – 18 months in location of India for increasing its market share. Besides it, he didn’t state clearly which type of market share, the US Ford car maker aim for the long run.
In a special conversation with a newsmen during the inauguration period of new dealership of Victoria Ford, MD and president of Ford India “Michael Boneham” said that in recent year, we have achieved the market share something nearly 2% as well as this growth will be go up in coming years. As well as, in this inauguration period, Mr. Boneham said that by Launching new cars of Ford would play a dominant role for growing the market share and increasing shares in India.
For this year, Ford India desire to hold sales around 30,000 cars comparatively more from previous 29,000 sold cars in calendar of 2008. In month of September ‘09′, the company sold 3500 cars that is really 50% increase in selling and this selling is increase with year passing of 2009 said “Nigel Wark” who is executive director of sales, marketing and services. Including it, by investing some million around $500 million, the company want to expand production in their Chennai plants.
